On behalf of the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC), let me congratulate the International Union of Economists (IUE) with the 25th anniversary of your organization!
Over the past two and a half decades, the IUE has gained a reputation of an authoritative assembly comprising the leading economists from almost fifty countries of the world. The IUE’s activities are relevant now like they have never been before, as we are living in the time of momentous changes taking place in the global economy. It is clear today that the present global system of economic relations does not meet the requirements of the present situation, as the potential of world economy has changed. The IUE has always been successfully looking and continues to look for new approaches to studying the major issues of social and economic development.
