Let me bid cordial welcome to all of you on behalf of the Business Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers named after Professor M.S. Kunyavsky, the leading business association of Belarus that comprises hundreds of medium and small business entities employing in total over 50,000 people.
The business community of Belarus highly appreciates the activities of the International Union of Economists (IUE), as an international nongovernmental organization that pursues the objective of facilitating economic and social progress.
Your numerous thematic and educational programs make a notable contribution to the theory and practice of global economic development, while the IUE’s annual meetings have become recognized discussion platforms for exchanging opinions on the relevant issues of international cooperation.
I express my firm belief that the present 25th Jubilee Meeting of the IUE, devoted to the topic “Modern World: New Economic Reality”, will become an important event in terms of understanding the trends and prospective lines of economic development in the conditions of globalization.
